Some people are under the misconception that gifts made to Habitat for Humanity, International will end up at U.S. affiliates such as Metro Camden HFH. In fact, we, like all affiliates, are expected to tithe 10% of our unrestricted gifts to HFHI, to be sent to our overseas sister affiliates.
Since God’s love doesn’t respect national borders, MCHH willingly chooses to tithe.
Currently we are tithing to Habitat affiliate in Uganda. Learn more about HFH Uganda
If you wish to designate your entire gift for a specific purpose, we will honor that request by excluding it from the amount we tithe on.

Thanks to the Cars for Homes program,
MCHH received a box truck and van from two separate
donors, which not only serve as functional vehicles
on the worksite, but also as "driving billboards"
raising awareness wherever we go. You don't have
to have a vehicle like these to make a difference

Gifts That Keep on Giving
Let your loved ones know how much they mean to you by blessing needy families in their name. When you make a donation to MCHH as a memorial gift for a deceased loved one or to celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary or graduation or for a holiday such as Christmas or Hanukkah, you give a gift of meaning, worth and honor. A personalized card, appropriate for your special occasion, will be sent to the recipient, notifying them that you have made a gift to MCHH’s housing ministry in their name. Your gift is guaranteed never to wear out, go out of fashion, arrive broken or get lost. Your gift will be fully tax-deductible for one year, but it will keep working for a lifetime.

Welcome Basket
Picture this: Friday afternoon, 4 p.m. You are sitting at a table with a pen in one hand and a check in the other. No, you are not at the bank depositing your paycheck, but rather at your house closing where you are purchasing your new Habitat for Humanity house. You walk in a nervous wreck and walk out a homeowner. What a wonderful feeling! You can’t wait to rush home to pack your final belongings and move into your new home that night…All that excitement, you forgot to bring the staples along to have breakfast the next morning with your family! This is a typical closing day for our Habitat homeowners.
Now you can be responsible for making moving day a bit easier for the new homeowner!
If you are interested in filling a Welcome Basket for a new homeowner on the day of closing, contact us for more information. Note: House Dedication gifts are also available to be donated when a Partner Family is celebrating their new home. Contact us to find out when this is available.
